Miraflores Park Hotel in Peru
Owned by the prestigious Oriental-Express Company, the beautiful Miraflores Park Hotel is a luxurious lodging establishment that includes all the things the discriminating traveler seeks – from lovely rooms to enjoyable amenities to a great location in one of Lima’s nicest residential areas, the Malecon de la Reserva.
Convenient to all Lima has to offer, the Miraflores Park Hotel is decidedly urban but with views of the Pacific Ocean that allow guests to forget they’re in one of South America’s most vibrant capital cities. All of the rooms at the Miraflores are referred to as suites and these accommodations come in a choice of three sizes. There are 48 of the hotel’s smallest suites – the Executive Suite – each offering a garden, city, or ocean view. These suites feature a small attached sitting area, marble bath with separate shower, desk with two phone lines, TV with cable service, mini-bar, and in-room safe. There are 12 Junior Suites on the property – 6 with an ocean view and 6 with a city view. All offer saunas and half include Roman tubs. Additional amenities for this higher level suite include direct internet service and access to a “Bath Butler”, an individual who will draw your bath and select salts, oils, and soaps for your use while setting the mood around the bathtub as well including the use of candles, wine, and a host of other choices. It’s the ultimate indulgence! Four Presidential Suites round out the offerings and include all the amenities of the other suites as well as a separate living and dining area, a Jacuzzi tub, an outside terrace, and a private plunge pool.
Leisure facilities at the Miraflores Park Hotel include a marvelous 11th floor outdoor infinity-style swimming pool, suitable for adults or children, lined with comfy lounge chairs. In addition, there’s a sizeable fitness area with cardiovascular equipment, a Cybex exercise module, and free weights.
The Zest Spa, located on the 11th floor near the swimming pool, offers massages, facials, body scrubs, wraps, and a variety of hand and foot treatments, all in a luxurious setting that overlooks the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Indigenous products from Peru and the Amazon are used at the spa. Treatment packages are available including one for couples to enjoy together.
Dining at the Miraflores Park Hotel is limited. The lovely Observatory Restaurant, also situated on the 11th floor, offers a delicious breakfast buffet including both hot and cold entrees, but it is not open for other meals. The Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde Bar serves cocktails and liqueurs and features live piano music most evenings. There are a host of additional restaurants within easy walking distance of the hotel and room service is available for all three meals.
A variety of function rooms for meetings and special events are available at the Miraflores, including boardroom-style rooms, conference facilities, and a ballroom-type space that can seat up to 160 people banquet-style. Additional amenities are available for companies booking events here and for business travelers, including a well-staffed business centre with copying, fax, and printing services.
