Country Club Lima Hotel in Peru
Located in Lima’s San Isidro district, the Country Club Lima Hotel is a 1927-built gem that boasts National Monument status. Refurbished in 1998 and then completely remodeled ten years later, it’s one of the few five-star hotels in the city and is a favorite with American tourists who seek luxury accommodations.
A look at the massive exterior of the hotel makes one believe that there are hundreds of rooms at the Country Club Hotel. However, the 83 rooms and suites are very large and lovingly appointed with antique furnishings but also feature all the amenities modern travelers seek. Rooms come with several different floor plans. The Master Rooms have one king-size or two full-size beds with a small writing desk and chair. The larger Grand Class Room includes either a golf course or garden view and measures more than 500 square feet. Some are available with Jacuzzi tubs. The largest of the guest rooms – The Governor Room – have king-size beds with sitting and working areas. Some include Jacuzzi tubs and others have a terrace and golf course view. All Governor Rooms are non-smoking; others having non-smoking options available.
The suites at the Country Club Lima Hotel number a total of seven and include two different floor plans. The Governor de Luxe Suites measure 750 square feet and offer a view of the hotel’s interior garden. All have a separate living room, king-size beds, sizeable working areas, Jacuzzi tubs, LCD televisions, and stereos. The large Presidential Suites feature all the amenities of the smaller suites as well as elaborate marble bathrooms and spacious terraces. Additional amenities for most rooms and suites include hair dryers, mini bars, in-room electronic safes, iron and ironing board, morning newspaper, wireless internet access, and multi-line telephones.
Guest services at the Country Club Lima Hotel include access to the 18-hole, par 72 Lima Golf Club located across the street from the accommodations. The hotel also has a sizeable fitness club with Universal weights and cardio equipment, a complimentary business center for corporate travelers, and laundry and valet services for guests. Small pets are allowed at this hotel but there is an imposed weight limit.
The Country Club boasts a few different dining options including Perroquet, an award-winning eatery that’s been dubbed the “Best Hotel Restaurant” in Peru a number of times. A breakfast buffet is served there each morning and the restaurant’s lunch and dinner menus feature both Peruvian and international favorites. In addition, Los Vitrales Lobby Bar serves casual bar fare as well as a variety of wines and alcoholic beverages. Live piano music is featured during happy hour. There’s also a traditional English bar – appropriately named Bar Ingles – which serves a variety of drinks.
Two boardroom-type facilities and three meeting spaces
are available for lease at the Country Club Lima Hotel. Some of them open to
the inside or exterior gardens at the hotel and are ideal for small social
occasions including dinners and intimate weddings.
